APP1: Land Speed Record Vehicles – Factfile

This blog post will focus on the collection of information to use on my posters. This will act as my factfile, so it is possible some of this information may not be used, but I wanted to have a source of reliable information in one easily accessible place for use throughout this project. Also, if I find useful or interesting information that I know probably won’t make the poster, I will still include it here as to build up an idea of the vehicle’s potential.

Information has been patchy, so I have spent a lot of time using multiple sources in order to build up a reliable base. The most useful sources were the Thrust SSC website which was frozen in 1997 after they successfully set the current record, and landspeedrecords.org. Of course however, I can’t guarantee all information is correct.

For this project, I have realised I need to source reference images to help with creating the posters. Therefore I have set up a board on my Pinterest page for this purpose, which can be accessed by clicking here.
